About The Author
Elsa Lusk
Former teacher-turned-memoirist Elsa Lusk is committed to preserving honest and nuanced real-life narratives. She was born in the Philippines, got her degree in education, and taught for more than ten years before going back to school and taking on leadership positions in the academic community. After moving to the US in 1988 in pursuit of better prospects, she began to see writing as a potent tool for introspection and narrative.
Elsa, who is currently retired, considers writing memoirs to be both a hobby and a way to exercise her mind. Her first published book, Memoirs of a Stud Sergeant, details the life of SGT. Calvin Lee Hughes, a guy she knew as a friend and caretaker. She creates an original and unrepentant trip in this book, giving readers a profoundly intimate and perceptive story that stays with them long beyond the last page.
